A ground air supply must be connected to the aircraft before the first engine can be started. Navigate to Add-ons > Just Flight VC10 Jetliner using the in-flight menu bar and select Toggle ground air supply. An on-screen message will appear to confirm that the air supply has been connected and you should hear the cabin air supply noise.
Once the first engine has been started, the ground air supply can be disconnected and the other engines can then be started using cross-bleed air supply. Please refer to the manual for more information on exactly how this works.
The engines can also be started using the keyboard assignment ('Ctrl+E' by default).
