Just like the real aircraft, the RJ Professional has an auto spoilers system that automatically deploys the lift spoilers upon touchdown or after an aborted landing. In order for automatic deployment to take place, the aircraft must be on the ground with the AUTO SPLR, YEL LIFT SPLRS and GRN LIFT SPLRS switches ON and the throttles at idle. The position of the spoiler lever in the cockpit does not affect the auto spoiler logic.
If after an automatic deployment, the spoilers lever in the cockpit is selected to retract the lift spoilers will only be retracted when the aircraft’s ground speed is less than 15 knots. The airbrake is not linked to the automatic deployment logic and will therefore always follow the position of the spoiler lever in the cockpit.
If you wish to manually retract the lift spoilers above 15 knots, this can be achieved by setting the AUTO SPLR switch on the overhead panel to OFF, but this is not a recommended procedure in the real aircraft.
