We have simulated the speedbrake ‘Blow Back’ feature of the F28. When speedbrakes are selected fully out at an IAS of more than 190 knots, the speedbrake will only travel as far as to provide a constant deceleration of 0.1G. Below 190 knots, the speedbrakes will fully extend to their limits.
Why does the speedbrake not fully extend?
